Tues March 19 Minecraft -New Install

Good Morning,

As some may already know I have a solution to our Minecraft dilemma.
You will be installing a new version of minecraft and a SEPARATE file with specific instructions.
Please follow these instructions closely:


download MinecraftEDU .984 link to the MInecraftEDU file. and move to Home folder
Delete MinecraftEDU .982 (move to trash and empty trash)
Follow steps to install MinecraftEDU
close installer
Next:  download https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B52M_cKAX2ARQUZSdENCVUdwWTA/edit?usp=sharing and click to open with Archive Manager. 
Next, click "Extract". When it asks for a destination, click "user" then "Extract". 

Right-click on MinecraftEdu.jar in the Desktop folder and choose Open With Openjdk Java6 Runtime. Then I see a window with three buttons: Start MinecraftEdu, Start Minecraft, and Check for Updates. 
Click on Start MinecraftEdu and login. 
You should see a login window that asks me to login as a male or female with a spinning background. 

Select Multiplayer
add server
server address: on the board

Play away.....I still need to figure out how to change the world (it's a little laggy)

Wed. March 6 Bubonic Plague

Good Morning,
First let's watch Ratatouille talking about the Bubonic Plague.

Today you'll make a game about the Bubonic Plague.
Using the Scrum Board in small groups you'll make a game that teaches the players about the Bubonic Plague.

First you must decide what kind of game you want to make, some examples include:
scratch game
board game
role play
jeopardy
Consider any fun game you like and combine it with learning the Bubonic Plague
Think FUN!

When you've decided the type of game and get approval begin adding tasks to the Scrum Board.
Remember the tasks are small pieces that add up to getting your game complete.
