Good Morning,

We are going to start learning about the start of Islam.
What is Islam you say?

Grab a 7th grade textbook and open it to Chapter 3 section 1.
Read and make Cornell Notes with a partner on Chapter 3 section 1 and 2.

When finished create the visual vocabulary (like we did with Rome) for:
Muhammed
Oasis
Nomadic
Sedentary
Mosque
Qur'an (Koran)

Nov. 12 Geography

Good Morning,

Let's work on some geography.  
Use different colors to identify the borders of the following civilizations:

1.  Rome
2. Byzantine Empire
3. Islam
4. Sub-Saharan Africa
5. Maya
6. Inca
7. Aztec
8. Medieval China
9. Medieval Japan

You'll find a good starting place in the 7th grade textbook.

Good Morning,

After you complete the assignment on the previous posts, please:

Write a paragraph in your interactive notebook summarizing one of the sections in Chapter 2.
Your paragraph should--
Begin with a topic sentence that states the subject of your paragraph.
Include the main points in the section.
Use transition words to connect sentences.

No Homework :)

Thurs Nov 7 Updates

Hi all,

I know my healing is taking a long time and worst of all I feel like I am stringing you all along. I don't have any real updates. I know now that fractured vertebrae take a long time to heal. It's looking like it will be at least few more weeks before I can join you.
I'm excited to come back to class and have some plans that will hopefully make your class SUPER fun.


I know this next assignment may seem strange, but I miss being there.
